Our Fall Trends Summary from NYC

A new season, and a new round of trends thrown in your face, all claiming to be THE trend of the year.  We took a trip to hear the New York style gurus discern which trends are notable, so here is a summary of the top four trends you can expect to see in-store the Fall 18 season:

Menswear:

Menswear isn’t just stealing your husbands’ baggy sweatshirts; it is a directional trend of the season that transforms classic suit silhouettes into mix-pattern and -color ensembles.  Classical suit colors remain dominant in the color palette.

Forget everything you knew about sparkle from your youth; sparkle and shine is all new and all over on skirts and pants.  Nothing is off limits as sequins, glitter, paillettes, and shine comes in all patterns, shapes, sizes, and colors.  Pair with everything from sweats to blazers for even more unlimited options.

American Indian motifs and aztec are fighting their way back into fashion.  New and improved in bright colors as well as classic neutrals, this popular print will have a major impact this season.  Pair with denim for another nod to the 19th century.
